Collaborate with ETC
ETC Collaboration Process
The Enabling Technologies Consortium (ETC) was founded by the pharmaceutical industry to collaborate with third parties from the vendor and academic communities to develop or improve upon pre-competitive enabling technologies for pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
ETC has two mechanisms to establish collaborations:
- Solicit proposals through an open RFI/RFP process based upon the interests of the ETC® Working Groups.
- Consider project ideas submitted by 3rd parties
ETC Project Process
Project Team Formed / Consensus Requirements Defined
Solicit Proposals/ Choose Collaborator
- Working groups and Projects Teams comprised of experts from the pharmaceutical industry meet and share experience
- Common needs and gaps are identified
- Brainstorming to define desired capabilities
- Vet these with the group to define consensus requirements
- Public solicitation (via RFI or RFP) for solutions to address the needs of ETC members
- Review and rank proposals, interviewing strongest candidates
- Select collaborator to move forward with
3rd Party Submits Project Idea / ETC Considers Project Idea
3rd Party Pitches Project to ETC / ETC Considers Project
- 3rd Party reaches out to ETC with a new project idea
- ETC Secretariat distributes project idea to ETC members and relevant ETC Working Group(s)
- ETC evaluates proposal and indicates interest in learning more
- 3rd party gives a project pitch to ETC via webinar or in-person
- ETC considers if there is enough interest to move forward with the project and collaborate with 3rd party
